In 2016, in response to the government’s call for industrial transformation and upgrading, Xianghai Group expanded its business scope by investing 1.5 billion yuan in phases to establish Guangdong Xianghai Optronics Technology Co., Ltd., entering the field of optoelectronic R&D and manufacturing. Today, Xianghai Optronics has grown into a leading enterprise among private peers in the national optoelectronics industry, recognized as a "National High-Tech Enterprise" and a "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative Enterprise."

In its early stage, Guangdong Xianghai Optronics Technology Co., Ltd. was located in the New Materials Industrial Base in Lishui Town, at the northern border of Guangzhou and Foshan. It provided OEM and ODM processing services for OC panels, and engaged in the production and sales of liquid crystal display panels, display screens, monitors, and other electronic products. The company boasts an experienced team of management and technical professionals, equipped with advanced precision manufacturing equipment and multiple proprietary patented technologies. Its product yield rate leads the domestic industry. In 2022, to align with the company’s development strategy, Guangdong Xianghai Optronics Technology (Yunfu) Co., Ltd.—an optoelectronic industrial base invested in and constructed by Guangdong Xianghai Optronics Technology Co., Ltd.—was officially established. The project is located in the Xinchuang Park of Yunfu New District, covering 300 mu of land with a total investment of 2.2 billion yuan. It aims to build an annual production base for 20 million display modules, equipped with 17 production lines mainly manufacturing display modules in various sizes from 20 to 75 inches. The first phase of the project was completed and put into operation by the end of 2023.

In the future, the group will deepen cooperation across the upstream and downstream sectors of the optoelectronics industry chain, strengthen independent R&D, promote integrated industry-academia-research collaboration, and contribute to the high-quality development of China’s display panel industry.
